FAMILY LAW | FAMILY LAW FAQ'S
We have one goal: to provide clients with superior legal representation.
To achieve that, we have developed a meticulous system that assures
we meet our clients’ goals and objectives, and provides them
with a level of communication that often exceeds their expectations.
We bring a variety of skills and resources to every case, from the
technical aspects of property division to the more emotionally charged
issues surrounding child custody. We have years of experience helping
clients navigate these difficult waters during troubled times.
Our devotion to clients boils down to one thing: we worry about
their case so they don’t have to.
- Divorce - In a contested divorce, it may be necessary
to fight over custody of children, alimony, division of property,
and many other complicated issues.
- Dissolution - If the parties have no real disagreements
about the issues in dissolving their marriage, a dissolution
may be the most cost effective way to obtain a resolution.
- Change of Custody - If it is in the best interest
of a child that he change residences from one parent to the other,
we can provide the services to help accomplish this move.
- Child Support Modification - Child support is
not set in stone. Changes often occur that result in an increase
or decrease in your support. We can calculate those changes.
- Domestic Violence - We have extensive experience
in pursuing domestic violence protection for our clients, as well
as defending those wrongfully accused of domestic violence.
- Shared Parenting - Formerly known as “Joint
Custody”, Shared Parenting means parents working together to “co-parent” their
child. We draft new Shared Parenting plans, and we modify existing
plans from previously filed divorces or dissolutions.
- Contempt - If a party fails to live up to the
obligations set out in their divorce or dissolution, you may need
to take them back to Court to resolve the situation. We are prepared
to take the steps necessary to see that all the terms of your Decree
are met.
- Adoption - Especially in the case of step-parents,
a child’s adoption can be a very important time in your life.
We are thoroughly familiar with the procedures involved to bring
a new member into your family. We also handle non-relative adoptions
in all of our local counties.
- Juvenile - We assist clients in all Juvenile
Court matters. These include all aspects of juveniles who require
criminal representation, and unmarried parties who need assistance
in the areas of custody, visitation and support matters.
- Wills & Probate - Everyone should have a
Will, a Living Will and a Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care.
We prepare these documents and handle all probate/estate matters.
